MSN Messenger for Mac Compatability

We're asking Microsoft's MSN Messenger for Mac Development team to release a new version of MSN Messenger with tighter integration with the Windows version.

Mac Users up until now have had to put up with 'second-class' instant messaging clients on MSN's Messaging Networks and it isn't fair for them. MSN Messenger for Mac lacks in may features that are currently available in MSN Messenger for Windows, many of those features have become standard on the Windows version of MSN Messenger but even after a year and a half and 2 new releases of MSN Messenger for Mac, they aren't included with the Macintosh version.

MSN Messenger is a vast online community of people from all different backgrounds, both Mac and Windows users communicating with each other on a daily basis, granted Microsoft have developed a few exclusive features into their Macintosh version of MSN Messenger but they have completely ignored the MSN Messenger for Mac Community and the communities needs.

Differences between MSN Messenger for Windows and MSN Messenger for Mac are huge, in comparison, MSN Messenger for Windows includes online games, display pictures, animated emoticons, custom emoticons, webcam and audio conversations, where as the Macintosh version includes none of these features even after it's most recent release earlier this year which we feel is a big disappointment and doesn't even deserve the title version 4.0 as very little has changed since version 3.5

We ask the MSN Messenger for Mac development team to URGENTLY release a new version of MSN Messenger for Mac including these features mentioned above and to bring it up to the same level of interoperabililty as the Windows version. As it stands for now, every time a windows user tries to launch a game, initiate a webcam conversation, or use any of the windows features the mac version doesn't have. We get left with a message on our screens telling us that the feature they have tried to launch requires a newer version of MSN Messenger than the version we already have, sure enough it gives you a link to click, but the link only takes you to the Mactiopia site where you find out you already have the latest version available for mac.

MSN Messenger is a great application on the Windows platform but we fail to see why it lacks so much on the Macintosh when it's posing no real loss to Microsoft to actually integrate the same features cross platform.

We ask that you release a new version for the Macintosh incorporating ALL of the features available in the latest version for Windows as soon as possible.
