Tell the Mariners to host a Gay Pride event at Safeco Field!

To:  Seattle Mariners

We, the undersigned, urge the Seattle Mariners to host a Pride event at Safeco Field to demonstrate their commitment to non-discrimination of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community.

• Supporting a Pride event shows that the Mariners are committed to creating a welcoming environment for all members of the community, and the team recognizes the importance of taking action beyond stating a policy of non-discrimination.

• Organizing a Pride event demonstrates that the Mariners value all fans and their families, and acknowledges and celebrates the diversity of Seattle.

• Many other baseball teams have hosted Pride events in recent years (including the Nationals, Padres, Giants, Cubs, Phillies, Red Sox, White Sox, Rockies, Dodgers, Mets, Athletics, Pirates, and Blue Jays) and the Mariners remain the only team on the west coast not to host a Pride event.
