PETITION for TIMELY CANCER TREATMENT in SASKATCHEWAN








To the Honourable Assembly of Saskatchewan in Legislature assembled:





To the petition of the undersigned citizens of the Province of Saskatchewan humbly showeth:





That the Saskatchewan government needs to take immediate action to improve the timeliness of cancer treatment;





That there are unreasonable waits for diagnostic tests and delays in receiving the results;





That there are unreasonable waits to see oncologists after diagnosis has been confirmed;





That cancer rates are predicted to increase significantly over the next 5-10 years;





Wherefore your petitioners humbly pray that your Honourable Assembly may be pleased to cause the government to take the necessary action to give cancer patients timely access to medical treatment;





And, as in duty bound, your petitioners will ever pray.
