Petition For Motorcycle and Scooter Parking

To:  NYC Department of Transportation

Motorcycles/Scooters fight against global warming, ease traffic and are an economical way to travel. There are more then a few motorized two-wheeled vehicles every block. As motorcycles and scooters park next to each other, parking areas naturally form. It is only fair that these vehicles receive designated spaces on the street. Many motorcycles are knocked due to drivers getting to close when parking. Automotive drivers become irritated by the proximity of the two wheeled vehicles around them when parking.

This is a proposal is to allow a space every other block with lead in and out designated for Motorcycles/Scooters. The spot will follow the same traffic laws as that around it. Pay parking will not be affected due to the need of remachining.
