We the National Environmental Society (http://www.nes.org.nz) request on behalf of our 500 members and all New Zealanders an immediate halt to the current practice of installing Cell Phone Towers in front of homes and schools.

The vast amount of scientific data (http://www.nes.org.nz) which is surfacing on a daily basis needs to be reviewed. New Zealand's standard which is based upon the International Commission for Non-Ionising Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) standard needs to be reviewed. ICNIRP's constitution which allows the self appointment of their committee members needs to be reviewed.

We request that Telecommunication companies, Internet companies, Territorial Local Authorities and the New Zealand Government all take steps to halt the placement of Cell Phone Towers in front of our homes and schools.
