No to RFID chips

To:  Identity and Passport service

I refuse to have a Radio-frequency identification chip (RFID) implanted in my Passport, or any of my Identification. I've found evidence that the information found on the chip can be easily copied or corrupted.
My passport has the RFID chip in it and I’d like another passport without the chip in or to have the chip taken out of mine. I don’t feel any need to have a RFID chip carry my information when the information needed is already in my passport. There is such software over the Internet that can scan a chip to record my information from it, thus copying my information or corrupting it as they please.
I cant see how this will help stop terrorism and ID fraud, as the chip would make copying someone’s information and passing it off as your own very easy. I find it unnecessary that in 2009 every passport will need the chip in or travelling abroad will be illegal.
We are giving up our freedom and privacy for false security. I informed IPS about my concerns and they stated that since October 2006 all passports issued include a chip. No one has informed me for consent to put a chip in my passport and that is against mine and your rights. We have a right to our privacy and its being violated here. Refuse the RFID chip and demand for a RFID free passport.
I want my freedom and privacy along with a passport RFID chip free please.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
