This is a chance to give Goldfish the life they deserve outside of the horrid myth that they can be kept in a bowl.

Myth: Goldfish grow to the size of their habitat.

Truth: Goldfish do in fact grow to the size of their habitat, but that doesn't always mean healthily. The truth is if Goldfish do not reach their full size in a steady growth rate, (meaning they have the space they need to do so.Goldfish reach a size of 12 inches or larger.Even the feeder goldfish!)it will shorten their life span which is normally (15-20 years) to just one year. Fish are living breathing things they do not deserve to have their life cut short just for entertainment and myth.

Goldfish also require 5 gallons per inch of them. Making a 50-60 Gallon tank just barely enough room for ONE! Yet people want to put multiple Goldfish in bowls.

I work in a pet store and most every day have to turn people away from getting Goldfish because I know they will not take proper care of it.

Please help me get Goldfish bowls off the shelves in stores so responsible pet owners will tend to their needs, and they will not be forced as a first pet to young children, only to die days later from poor habitat conditions!
