With the change in leadership in the State of New York, now is the time to band together and show the government that we are not the land destroying people that have lead to the closure of lots of land and trails. West of the Mississippi River there are several state owned ORV Recreational Parks that are open and successful. New York and the East Coast have none I could find. True there are several privately owned parks, but they can get pricey and this would offer a low cost option.

Todays off-road enthusiast is a safe, responsible person whom follows the Tread Lightly Method. Todays off-road enthusiast gives back to the community they are in. We are no longer our fore-fathers and do not deserve to be treated as such. As well as if you are known to go off-road with your 4x4, we are automatically placed in the same category as dirt bikes, quads and the like which has been the leading cause to all the land and trail closures.

We need to have OPEN LEGAL places to enjoy our hobby, because of all the land and trail closures adding to the lack of legal place for us to responsibly enjoy our hobby. California has 6 parks like this and there are several other states out west that have at least one state owned ORV Park. I have yet to find anything like this east of the Mississippi River.

Why is it that they can have places like this out west, yet we have to struggle with illegal, questionable, and spotty privately owned parks that are few and far between? It is time for the government to step up and help to undo the damage they have done to our sport/hobby.

If you agree with me please sign this petition that will go in front of the New York State Government. Thanks for all who support this cause.
