National Youth Traffic Safety Month - Safe Teen Driving |
To: Teens, Parents, and other AdultsRaise your voice for safe teen driving by signing this petition to drive safe and encourage others to make better choices behind the wheel.
Automobile crashes are the No. 1 cause of death and injuries for teens in the United States, but YOU can help change this statistic!
Teens - get involved in a youth traffic safety peer education project this May during National Youth Traffic Safety Month (NYTSM) and speak up when your friends are taking risks such as speeding, texting, and/or talking on the phone while driving. For project ideas download the NYTSM Toolkit at http://www.noys.org.
Parents and adults - get involved by encouraging the teens in your life -- your sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, neighbors, and students -- to drive safely!
Take the first step by signing this petition in support of safe teen driving; then, tell others how they can also make a difference.
Plus, vote for your favorite safe driving project for the 2009 Act Out Loud Contest at www.actoutloud.org. Act Out Loud is hosted by National Organizations for Youth Safety and sponsored by The Allstate Foundation.
Thank you for signing this petition in support of safe teen driving and National Youth Traffic Safety Month. With your help, we can help prevent teen car crashes and ultimately save lives.
Sincerely,
