Help Revoke Bond

To:  Oklahoma Governor

This petition is on behalf of the Parents and Siblings of Carlos F. Lopez JR and on behalf of the Cox Family and Friends.

Both families were in court Tuesday and we viewed first hand the injustice that happened on not revoking the Andrew A. Mathis bond.

Carlos Lopez and Dennis Cox were innocent people who were just trying to help. Both great men died that day at the hands of Mathis. Both families are angry that he was allowed a bond to be set for 2 Homicides and 5 counts of assult and battery with intent to induce death.

Judge Milley Otey, stated in court, that the bond "was a well thought out decision"...According to the Oklahoma Constitution, you only have to meet 1 requirement for rejecting bond...Mathis met 3.

This is not just for the families effected by this tragedy but for all the victims of violent crimes. We can not let our appointed officials get away with under the table deals that put society at risk.

Please sign this petition to let our law makers and enforcers now that we will not stand for these acts to continue. It should be law that people accused of murders with eyewitnesses, should automaticaly have a NO BOND set.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
