The OSAA is considering taking away the team competition at the State Meet and making cross country an individual sport. Anybody who has ever run cross knows that it's a team sport.

The proposal would likely make it so that the only way to get to the State Meet would be through an individual qualification process - effectively eliminating the team competition. This would be extremely detrimental to the future growth of the sport in the State of Oregon.
