Hercule Poirot TV series must continue

We heard that your Production had no intention of making any more in the current Hercule Poirot series or continuing with another series. We are all very concerned about this situation. May we give you the reasons why we deeply think that the Production of Hercule Poirot should continue.







As David Suchet truly said : “Poirot is timeless. People will be able to watch him in a hundred or a hundred- and-fifty years’ time. In the final Poirot novel, Curtain, Poirot dies, now an old man. So revered was Christie’s Poirot of the day that, when Curtain was published, his ‘death’ made front-page news in The Times and the New York Times. So rare an experience, it makes you realise just how popular this man was “







As of today Poirot remains the most popular character all over the world, thanks to the outstanding TV adaptation of the Agatha Christie’s novel your company has achieved until now.







The passionate and talented way David suchet (and the all distribution cast) has always performed this eccentric little Belgian is overwhelming and absolutely astonishing ! this has determined Agatha Christie’s daughter, Rosalind Hicks to choose him and to say that the Christie machine would not do a Poirot TV adaptation without David Suchet.“ Rosalind Hicks even told him that her mother would have been thrilled to bits !







Poirot won two BAFTA awards in 1990, then had more BAFTA nominations as Best Drama Series in 1991 and 1992. This shows how prestigious the series are considered today. This is a tremendous achievement which gives the most challenging worldwide reputation for the Producers of Poirot TV series.







These series inform, inspire and educate :







- the fully detailed and most refined reconstitution of the elegant 1930 period informs the viewers on this historical and less often highlighted period of the 30’s, which provides the series with both magic and realism, so pleasant for the eyes, the spirit and the senses.







- Agatha Christie is the most popular novelist of the history and her works which continue to reach a great contemporary audience, have been for the first time truly and properly adapted by your company.







- the character of Hercule Poirot is a model of intelligence, elegance, quick-wittedness and moral standards which are precious assets, and in which people like to project themselves and especially nowadays in a world that has lost its way. Let us hope these “little grey cells” contribute to a more healthy society !
