Ban Battery Milk in Vegetarian Society Aproved Products |
To: The Vegetarian Society UKIt's estimated by animal rights organisation Animal Aid that 30 per cent of the UK's Dairy products now come from battery farmed cows, kept in zero grazing factory farm sheds and fed GM soya or grain.
Presently Paul McCartney's Vegetarian Society has no minimum standards for cows and dairy so they could be unwittingly approving products produced in this way.
This means that The Vegetarian Society and it's Seedling food manufacturing approval scheme has lower animal welfare standards than the UK organic Soil Association, The RSPCA Freedom Foods scheme, The Campaign In World Farming, the retailer Marks and Spencer, McDonalds and even Gordon Ramsay.
We call upon The Vegetarian Society UK to exclude battery farmed cow's milk from it's list of approved ingredients and seedling logo licensed products.
Sincerely,
