Dear School Board Members,

My idea for this program came about with my wife and myself being home most schools days. Seeing children who should be in school not attending for various reasons, partying drugging and spreading stds (i.e. Out of School Suspension (OSS) or the fact that parents must work) Parents are usually the last to find out that students have been suspended in school (ISS) or Out of School (OSS) usually days later where as they the parents can’t make preparations for the children to be watched.

Dealing with the issues of discipline for school age children ISS and OSS is a worthless program it would be much better to provide them with and outlet and trade for their time of discipline i.e. (Cleaning school campus, property, painting, assisting staff with moving needs of books, tables, chair, or even janitorial duties) all while wearing a reflective vest admitting to there wrong somewhat of a scared straight program.

Understanding that students will miss curriculums taught for various reasons. I feel that a web cam placed in each course to record one instruction for each subject each day then loaded up to You tube for the student to watch at their pace and understand. This in itself will help the children with discipline problems who can’t focus in class as well as those who don’t take proper notes to the special needs student to allow for them to study at a slower pace this will also allow parents to understand what is being taught assist them in assisting their children with there studies as well as let student know that the school and its staff are there for their education.. Children, who miss school for any reason, school field trips, doctor’s appointments, or just didn’t understand while sitting in class or were distracted. This would make all subjects available 24 hrs a day and can even be put on DVD for students to check out of library.

Academic progress will be made as SAT scores will go up per student; GPA’s will go up, Higher Graduation rates, lower drop out rates. This will ensure that our student will prosper for the betterment of human kind and be completive for the future.
