Quantum Leap - a bold leap forward

This petition is to show the Sci-fi channel that we still want a new series of Quantum Leap. We are huge fans of the original series and we have been waiting patiently for the new TV movie "A bold leap forward". This TV movie and the potential new series have been in development since 2003 - 2004! The project has a finished script, actors that have signed on (Including Dean Stockwell) and the original creators blessing. Why hasn't the series been green lit? When if ever will it start filming? We want to see Sammy Joe! We want Scott Bakula back as Sam even if it's only in a secondary role. We want Al back! We want new Quantum Leap! The recent DVD's are playback best sellers and the original series was nominated for 31 Emmy awards. Please bring our favourite series back before it's 20th anniversary in 2009 and before the actors are too old to return to these wonderful roles. Thank you.
