Notice: Hello all!! We've received a little over 2,400 signatures for our petition and we couldn't have done it without all of your support! As of today we've closed our petition and will be sending out the official copies to Governor Bill Ritter and Colorado Legislators this week. The fact that Colorado's Governor has said that a 300 million dollar additional higher education funding cut is unacceptable is amazing! Though there's still so much more for us all to do, Colorado Legislators have yet to find an answer to the state's budget deficit. Please continue to support higher education by keeping up to date on the latest news and information available on our site and other related facebook groups, pages, and causes. As students, teachers, and school administrators and as citizens of Colorado, we urge you to reject the 300 million higher education funding cut proposed by the Colorado Joint Budget Committee. Higher education offers graduates more job opportunities than those who choose not to pursue their education beyond high school. In a day and age where companies need the best-educated and qualified workforce available to compete on a global market higher education provides indispensable tools for ultimate success. As patrons of higher education concerned about the future availability of quality higher education we ask that you reassess alternatives to bridging the Colorado state budget deficit gap.
