Realizing that despite the constant efforts of advocates, government and non-government organizations, private sectors, faith-based sectors, and the like, prevalent issues concerning the Filipino youth such as abortion, early sex, teenage pregnancy, child prostitution, child trafficking, pornography, sexual exploitation, substance abuse, violence against women and children, sexually transmitted infections and HIV still exist;

Acknowledging the need to further increase awareness and empower the Filipino youth to exercise their sexual and reproductive health rights;

Challenging local and national policies, and societal norms that continue to discriminate and hinder the young Filipinos from fully utilizing these rights;

Considering that, despite the constant promotion for the last decade, these rights have been neglected by many;

Recognizing the youth as change agents towards realizing the full utilization of these rights in achieving an improved quality of life;

We, the undersigned, therefore resolve to call upon the Philippine Government and National and Local Leaders to implement of the Department of Education (DepEd)'s Lesson Guides on Adolescent Reproductive Health in the High School Curriculum.
