Blackberry Desktop Manager for Linux

As the popularity of open-source applications and alternative operating systems continues to grow, many users of external devices such as mp3 players, GPS and other handheld devices are choosing the stability and security of alternative operating systems.

The Blackberry series of devices has revolutionized the way we obtain information, are entertained, and stay organized while keeping up with a busy lifestyle.

However, for many Blackberry users who have chosen to use alternative operating systems experience difficulty transferring media and syncing devices due to lack of applications developed for alternative operating systems.

We the undersigned are petitioning Research in Motion to develop a port of the Blackberry Desktop Manager software for the popular Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Gentoo, and the like).
