We the undersigned, respectfully call on the Prime Minister , the Home Secretary , the Minister of Defence and the Government of the United Kingdom to overturn the court martial and sentencing of Royal Marine Commando Sergeant Mark Leader. We further call for his re-instatement to his former rank and the re-instatement of his pension and benefits and the overturning of his criminal conviction, on the grounds that account was not properly taken into consideration at his court martial of his state of mind following the recent death of his best friend and two other colleagues who had been blown up by IED devices. The level and severity of his sentence are not justified , this man should have been given respect for his 18 years of distinguished service to his Queen and Country and support , care and understanding for his grief and he should not have been charged as a common criminal nor court martialed and most definitely not discharged.
