Petition to the President-Elect of the United States of America, Barack Obama


We, the undersigned petitioners, all being legal, voting citizens of these United States unless indicated otherwise, do wish to call your attention to a specific matter of serious importance to the Republic. We feel that we are at a major crossroads in the economic and political history of these United States and that these times require counsel for you that is diverse in its viewpoints and rich in ideas for how to solve the current economic crisis. While we would not presume to name every viewpoint you should incorporate into your circle of advisers, we feel that one addition to your team would improve immensely the amount of ideas put forth to you for solving our nation's economic malaise. We feel that Congressman Ron Paul from Texas would provide you with excellent counsel regarding the financial matters of the nation. Ron Paul has spoken out on numerous occasions about the futility of constantly printing more Federal Reserve notes to solve our economic problems and that more change needs to be made at the institutional level. We agree with his opinions and would like to see them represented in your cabinet. Please consider Ron Paul for a role as an economic adviser from whom you seek regular counsel in your upcoming administration. I applauded your message of change during your presidential campaign. Right now Ron Paul is the change we can believe in on economic issues. Thank you for your time President-Elect Obama, and good luck in your future administration.
