We the undersigned respectfully ask the Santa Clara Unified School District (SCUSD) and the Sunnyvale City Council to mandate the increased protection of wildlife in the Peterson Middle School field by; a) recognizing and/or enforcing all pre-existing federal, state, county and local wildlife protection laws; b) extending permanent wildlife habitat into areas of the Peterson Middle School field where ground dwelling wildlife presently exists; c) mandating natural wildlife management policies such as the introduction of barn owls and barn owl boxes, and/or other predatory bird species along with viable habitat.
We are outraged by City of Sunnyvale and SCUSD wildlife protection policies, entities which have shown little or no respect for wildlife and/or the conservation of wildlife habitat.
