Ray Parlour Deserves an Arsenal Testimonial

We, the undersigned fans of Arsenal Football Club, wish to honor Ray Parlour for his 20 years of service to the Gunners upon his retirement with a proper testimonial match. Although he waived his right to a testimonial with his transfer to Middlesbrough FC, we feel that his achievements and loyalty to the Arsenal merit recognition. Parlour was recently named among the club's 50 Greatest Players, elected 19th in voting.

Parlour won two doubles with the club, and scored the match-winner in the 2002 FA Cup Final. He has publicly professed his love for the club even after his transfer, as seen in this recent article:

Surely a man of Ray Parlour's popularity and service to the Arsenal deserves a testimonial from the club where he spent 20 years of his life. We respectfully request that the board of directors at Arsenal Football Club reconsider any possible forfeiture of a testimonial match for Mr. Parlour, and honor his many years of service.
