No tolerance for pedophilia, Roman Polanski should be brought to justice

In 1978 Roman Polanski committed what is considered to be one of the most vile crimes in todays society. The drugging and raping of a 13 year old girl, in anyones eyes is sickening. 31 years after fleeing the USA Polanski has finally been arrested in Switzerland.
Almost everybody in the civilized world agrees that violence against children is a crime that should be severely punished. Yet, in the case of Polanski a disturbing number of people such as Politicians, Actors, Directors, those in positions of power and influence have rushed to his defense, calling for his acquittal and freedom. Should this man be freed the result would be a serious blow to the force of the justice system in dealing with such crimes. It would set the precedent that money and prestige erase all misdeeds. Violence against a child is unacceptable regardless of who committed it
The following petition is one to support Roman Polanski's detention and prosecution for a most heinous crime that has for the last 31 years gone unpunished.
