This petition is by the Fans, Parents, and Players of Region D Football. We are petitioning the current unfair setup of where the Region D Football Championship games are held. It is unfair to the Fans, parents, grandparents, and players to continue playing the Region D Title games at the University of Virginia's College at Wise's Football Field. It is unfair to the players to work so hard to earn a top seed only to be forced to not play the game on their own Field. Most of the Region D Division Two schools have better facilities than that at UVA Wise. Region D is the only Region in the state to force top seeds to play on Neutral sites. The only schools to actually benefit from this are the Wise County Schools in some cases causing a top seed from another county to have to travel to Wise County to play a lower seeded Wise County School. The whole setup is unfair and we think the best solution is to let the Higher Seed Host the Region D Title game in their respective Divisions.
