We, the undersigned, come from every walk of life (read: demographic), and come to this moment as people who believe the time has long come for the viewers to have a say, to enact our own intertwining Freedoms of Speech, Expression, Assembly, and Hearing. We express our wish to assemble for an hour once weekly to hear the speech of quality performance of the Smothers Brothers (Tom and Dick Smothers, for the uninitiated) whether it be in the form of a sitcom or a variety--or even, to shake things up, a dramatic series.

We, the undersigned, being of multiple demographics provide the revenue for your products by way of purchasing from those companies which in turn provide the revenue--in the form of advertising dollars--to your respective outlets. Thus, we, so to speak, are "stockholders" in your respective companies and we have chosen this moment to vote our proxy in favor of quality programming. Quite frankly, some television programming of late has left more than plenty to be desired.
The terms of our signatures are fairly straightforward:

1. By providing a television mode for the Smothers Brothers, you gain the reputation for having a well-known commodity. Tom and Dick Smothers have been in the entertainment business for more than four decades and are known both nationally and globally.

2. You gain two experienced in both performance and promotion. Note their long-term associations with Magnavox (now Philips), Stouffer's, Old Navy, and the City of Las Vegas. Also take note of their official site http://www.smothersbrothers.com which provides more than substantial promotional information regarding their past and current works.

3. You gain two individuals quite capable of earning acclaim for their efforts. This could add to your resume, since their previous endeavors have on screen and one the road have earned many high regards, ratings, and awards. Evidence of this include nominations and wins Academy Of Television Arts And Sciences (Emmy) Awards, Man Of The Year Award for Tom Smothers from the Academy of Country Music, an honorary doctorate from San Jose State University, a Star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame (for television), and honors bestowed through the Museum Of Broadcast Communications.

4. You gain...us viewers. We, the undersigned, in our duty as viewers will spread the word--by voice, by paper, or by form of technology--of both your wise decision to acquire Tom and Dick Smothers and the subsequent result they would produce, which we believe, even sight unseen, will be of above-standard quality. You also gain as an added bonus a core following (recognized by the term "Baby Boomers"), the majority of which comprise the target 18-49 demographic that television outlets generally cherish.

While this seems to be a weighted "contract" with most benefits in your favor, this is ultimately a "win-win situation", because in the end we all (the Brothers, your entity, and us) get "the good stuff". Recent full and guest television appearances ("American Soundtrack: This Land Is Your Land", "Smothered", talk shows), and the subsequent positive feedback and discussion, show that Tom and Dick Smothers are well capable to handle further appearances, as well as a full series.
