Bridgewater Outdoor Skatepark

We, the residents of Bridgewater, propose that an outdoor skatepark be built in town for our growing population of skateboarders. Currently, there are no public areas in Bridgewater where skateboarders are permitted to skate. A skatepark would greatly benefit the community and provide a safe place for skateboarders to practice thir sport. With more than 10 million skateboarders across the USA the sport continues to grow in popularity. It is a legitimate sport and its participants deserve a safe place to skate. We cannot allow our children to skate along side traffic or in parking lots. A skatepark would keep our children safe and out of harm's way. We are prepared to ask local businesses to sponsor the park, make individual monetary contributions to cover the cost of the construction as well as pay a fee annually for usage of the skatepark in the form of a registration sticker for every individual using the park. We hope that you will vote in favor of building a skatepark in Bridgewater. Thank you for your time and consideration.
