Help open Muskegon Brewing & Distilling

To:  Muskegon-area community banks

Established 2008, Muskegon Brewing & Distilling Co. has already raised a very large portion of capital needed to open. The company is looking to borrow the remaining amount from a local community bank, via SBA. Current economic conditions have been stalling this process, and concern has been expressed that a microbrewery may not work in Muskegon, the "Beer Tent Capital of the World".

This petition is intended to shed some light on demand from the community for local craft beer, craft spirits, and even craft soda. Products that are manufactured in Muskegon will provide new jobs in Muskegon. These products would be sold on site at the brewery's tasting-room, and distributed to local restaurants, bars, events, and stores. The tasting-room also aspires to host the best live-music in the Muskegon area, which will help to revive the spirit and attractiveness of downtown Muskegon.

We are convinced that a brewery would be successful in Muskegon, and we are anxiously awaiting as future patrons. Please consider our voice.
