Hello, my name is Francisco Rademacher. I have put the following together after reading that the proposed constructions at Ground Zero may be delayed for decades to come. I hope you feel as strongly as I do. It is a long read but I truly believe if you read it all, you will see the change it may have.

September 11th, 2001 was a day that truly shocked not only the USA, but the world. Never before on US soil has something so horrible happened. However, despite the death and destruction, the American spirit persevered. To those who would do us harm, we didn't back down but declared with a unified voice, " WE ARE NOT AFRAID ".

Roughly 3,000 people died that die. Husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, and children. Families were destroyed. A nation was brought to it's knees. Despite all this, the aftermath of such a event could only be described as inspirational. The unity felt by all those who experienced it was amazing. We vowed to never again be the subject of such a attack...and have not been.

The site (Ground Zero) is considered in many ways to be almost Holy Ground. The souls of so many of our fellow citizens still inhabit the grounds. From the memorials to the moments of silence, it is our duty to honor the fallen. And since that day, we as a people have desired to honor our fallen...and we should continue such a dream.

The planned restructuring of the site has captivated the world. It is meant to unify a once broken city. To remind it once more of it's own magnificence. While it has taken many years, and many struggles, it would have seemed to finally be getting under way. I am sad to say this is no longer the case.

The proposed structures (including the newly renamed Freedom Tower - World Trade Center) may be delayed, due to lack of funds, for decades to come. Due to a financial crunch felt around the world, apparently the money just "isn't there". I don't know about you, but this is truly disturbing. What are we saying to the country that has given so much? What are we saying to the children who lost a loving mother or father or brother and sister? Are their memories no longer worthwhile in the eyes of those with money to make a difference? In my mind, as it was the day it happened, and as it will be the day I die, I will NEVER forget what those people mean to us as a nation...neither should you!!!

We as a people have to stand up and say, "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH...I want to make a difference". And that is what I am asking each one who reads this petition to do. If we combine our national pride, and desire to honor those fallen, I know we can make a difference. Those in charge of building finances say, "we can't". But in my heart, I truly believe, "YES WE CAN"!!!!!

I ask each and every one of you to donate whatever you can to the PayPal account: savetheworldtradecenter@yahoo.com . While this may seem like a joke or scam, I assure you it is not. The funds collected will only be used when the money is needed, and authorized by the highest officials in the state (Each And Every one of the following: Mayor, Governor, Senate, and Representatives). If they can't come together in a reasonable amount of time, regardless of affiliation and say, "enough is enough....let's get this done", then sadly I must weep for our nation, and all money will one way or another be refunded.

Write your local and state and federal officials telling them you want this done. Talk to them and find out ways to make it happen. Find ways to curtail needless spending so we can get this done. The more people that get involved, the more it will change this country, and perhaps...the world.

I will post weekly reports on account activity (showing donations, and the fact that nothing has been withdrawn). I would like to ask whoever has the ability, to maybe help build a website. I have secured the web domain (at my own expense for 10yrs): www.savetheworldtradecenter.com. I know nothing about web building or hosting, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Anything we can do to further legitimize what I am trying to do here would be a big step in making sure this gets done. All it takes is some belief that we can make a difference.

Once again, I know this may seem crazy or unbelievable. And I truly understand your skepticism. The web domain registration was done with ALL my personal info. I will try to answer the emails I get but depending on quantity, I may not get to them all. What's important here is we all band together to make sure this piece of history gets done, and that it gets done NOW!!!
