Mr. Lucas, Recut Star Wars

In 1999, George Lucas released Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. For many people, this was the most anticipated movie in the history of cinema. It made hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars worldwide. Yet it left a dirty taste in Star Wars fans' mouths.

The character of Jar Jar Binks and the obsession with podracing were silly attempts to attract the younger crowd, and when we say "younger" we mean under 8. The acting of Jake Lloyd tarnished not only Star Wars, but child actors as a whole.

In Episode II - Attack of the Clones, Lucas ruined the saga even more by having a silly "love story" take up 25 percent or more of the movie. The scenes were forced and we felt bad that the fine actress Natalie Portman had to utter lines such as "No you listen! We live in a real world, come back to it. You're studying to become a Jedi, I'm... I'm a senator. If you follow your thoughts through to conclusion, it will take us to a place we cannot go, regardless of the way we feel about each other."

We ask Mr. George Lucas, of Skywalker Ranch in Marin, California to hand over creative control of Episodes I and II to a director and editor who will recut and combine the films into a singular two hour and 15 minute movie. The new directors and editors will also remove the character of Jar Jar Binks completely from the movies. In addition, Mr. Lloyd's acting will be limited to 10 minutes screen time, and no "Woo Hoo!" will appear on screen.
