The Attorney-General, on the recommendation of the Anti-Discrimination Board of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, has granted exemptions from the Anti-Discrimination Act to allow publicly-funded refuges Mission Australia and Edward Eagar Lodge to refuse services and access to homeless transsexual women. We the undersigned believe this to be unacceptably discriminating against the most vulnerable of homeless women and accordingly we call upon the Attorney General to overturn these exemptions and not allow unfair discrimination against transsexual women.
