I was browsing the net when I happened to come across this on a Pokemon petition website:

"Unfortunately, this is very real. We have been informed that Pokemon USA has already made plans to do the Anniversary special with substitute voices. Apparently, they haven't made a firm decision on the next season yet. None of us have been formally asked to do the show, we've simply been told we'll be replaced. Pokemon USA has made no effort to negotiate with 4kids, simply feeling that getting a cheaper rate to dub the show is enough. They care nothing for the quality. They will be using new script writers, voices, music, etc. We (the voice actors and those at 4kids who work so hard on the show) are all extremely upset as we care very much for Pokemon and what we've worked to create. However, there is nothing that we can do. It seems that the only recourse is for fans to write to Pokemon USA and tell them how wrong their decision is and how it will adversely affect the show.

Thanks for your concern. Please spread the word and let's all try to work together to right this wrong before it's too late."

This letter from dear Veronica touched my heart and made me determined to do something about the change in the Pokemon VA (Voice Actor) cast.

After aquiring most of the aspects of Pokemon from 4Kids Entertainment, PokemonUSA announced that upon the arrival of Season 9 of Pokemon, they would be changing the VA Cast. Their reason? Simply getting a cheaper rate to dub the show. And now they are doing everything in their power to get rid of those who got us fans involved with the characters and for what? For money? Pokemon USA is a multi-million dollar conglomerate and they are telling us they cannot spend some cash on several talented voice actors?Pokemon USA cares not about the emotional bond that dedicated fans grew between themselves and the characters of the Original VA cast.

By no means am I holding any grudges against the new VA Cast of Pokemon but, they don't cut the part. Like other animes such as Inuyasha, FMA, Cowboy Bebop, Lucky Star, Princess Mononoke (Er... Mostly anything bye Haio Miyazaki...), and a few others (Such as Pokemon) with such diverse plots and character requirments, there can only be one, truly dedicated VA Cast that knows what they are doing. Only one VA Cast that has the voices that were made for the roles of their characters.

Please, fans, we must work together and be strong! We must fight for this so the children of today will be savvy with the Original VA Cast! We cannot sit back and watch as PokemonUSA destroys something of OURS that we held dear for so many years! Although our dear Maddie Blaustien (A.K.A - The Original VA of Meowth) had past away long ago (RIP, Maddie, We love you so much. "Blaustien off again..."), we still need to fight for the rest of the cast.
