Shrewsbury Town Centre Skateboarding Park

To:  Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council

The skateboarders of Shrewsbury town need a skatepark in the centre of the town as there is not many skateparks in walking distance of each area.


In particular:


Meole Brace


Copthorne (Shornecliffe is unskatable)


Gains Park


Sutton Farm


Belle Vue


Skateboarding is a growing sport and skateboarders wish to express themselves in a safe way and it's hard to skateboard on the streets where we are continueally Cautioned, Moved on, accused of vandalism and assaulted and this has happend to me and my fellows on a number of occasions.





And another point is how much does it annoy you to find skateboarders skating on public & private property i.e. Frankwell Guildhall, Shirehall, Meole Brace Retail Park, Copthorne Stores, Numerous local schools, Tennis Courts and Alleyways etc.





So please take this petition into account, Keep us out of trouble and doing something safe and productive.
