We, the undersigned, are fans of KFKF and 106.5 The Wolf! We have discovered an alternative genre of country music, namely Red Dirt Country, that originates in places like Austin, Texas and Stillwater, Oklahoma. Bands such as Cross Canadian Ragweed, Blackberry Smoke, Wade Bowen and West 84, Jason Boland and the Stragglers, and Stoney LaRue and the Arsenal, are the next revolution in country music.

In the early 1990s, country music was revitalized by a collection of new artists that literally saved the genre. Today, country music has, in large part, lost its younger fan base. A lot of these fans can be seen at Red Dirt country concerts, such as those by Cross Canadian Ragweed, Blackberry Smoke, Jason Boland, Wade Bowen, Stoney Larue, etc.

Therefore, we are humbly asking radio stations to open up their playlists to this new wave of country music. I suggest dedicating a special time slot to Red Dirt Country, if not incorporating it into the playlist proportionally.

Sincerely,
We, the Undersigned
