Natalie Portman for Death of the Endless |
To: Neil Gaiman
We, the undersigned fans of your work including the “Death: The High Cost of living” graphic novel and it’s eventual film adaptation are writing to propose the most capable actress for the part, as we see it, one Miss Natalie Portman. She has shown time and again to be remarkably familiar with just this sort of character, as you put it, someone to become instantly “besotted” with in the mere act of passing conversation. Two roles which best exemplify her “old soul” as it’s been called are Marty, the teenage charmer in Beautiful Girls and Sam, an Annie Hall/Anna Karina (the classic French actress, not the Tolstoy book) type character. Furthermore, it would be through some fault of our senses and not Miss Portman’s appearance that would fail to qualify her for the look of the part:
