There is a high likelihood that the Democratic nominee for president will not be decided by ordinary voters but rather by party insiders known as Superdelegates.
We do not believe such a decision is in the spirit of democracy and urge the Democratic National Committee to choose the nominee who has the most votes and the most delegates rather than relying on a secret backroom deal.
We believe that such a deal would do extraordinary damage to the Democratic Party and will disillusion many of the voters who are getting involved in politics for the first time in this election cycle.
The two remaining candidates are both extraordinary people and either would be an excellent president.
We urge you to let the people choose the nominee. And in turn we pledge to fully support whichever candidate is chosen.
God Bless America
