We Want Tingle Back

It has come to our attention that Nintendo, and their Entertainment Analysis and Development group No. 3 (EAD3), who are responsible for the creation and release of The Legend of Zelda titles (for various Nintendo video game systems), are no longer introducing the character “Tingle” into their games (who has been an inclusion since The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (Zeruda no Densetsu Mujura no Kamen); this includes both The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Zeruda no Densetsu Towairaito Purinsesu) and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (Zeruda no Densetsu Mugen no Sunadokei).

In an issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly, dated for June 2005, head of EAD3 (Eiji Aonuma) was quoted stating, in reference to Tingle, he “---found out some American people didn’t like him very much.”

There was also the instance of a Tingle specific game, Freshly Picked! Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland DS (aka Mogitate Chinkuru no Barairo Ruppīrando), not being released in the US. There are many American fans who want to purchase this game, but find it hard due to it's foreign availability. In this case, the game Tingle's Balloon Fight DS (Chinkuru no Barūn Faito DS) is excepted due to it's nature as a promotional giveaway for members of Club Nintendo Japan.

The signatures of this feel that the character Tingle is overlooked, and that many video gaming fans feel that his appearances are a comedic, interesting, and positive addition to such a beloved game franchise, and that his inclusion is only beneficial to the game quality. We feel that is unfair that some gamer's dislike of the character did not only have him revoked from the franchise, but dissapoint many fans (not only in the United States, but all around the world).

We all sign here in hopes that Nintendo, namely EAD3 and Eiji Aonuma, will change his decision and start include our beloved character into these games once again.
