When listing the flight destination for Tehran, most airlines have started referring to the city of Tehran as Imam Khomeini international airport; both on their websites and actually at the airports. In doing so the identity of Tehran as a city is starting to be lost.
Across the world, all airlines should use the name of the city in their listed destination. The city of Tehran is being disadvantaged because its name is not referenced by airlines or airports. We would like to save Tehrans identity by petitioning for airlines and airports to recognise the citys name in the same way that all other cities are recognised.
