“Hello hello, we want a piece of Vertigo!!”

I am writing this letter on behalf of all the U2 fans in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada that would like to see the biggest rock and roll band play in our city. We all were excited to hear about the upcoming Vertigo tour but sadly disappointed when we were not included on the first North American leg and even more disappointed to learn that we were also skipped on the third leg of the tour. We think it would be very beneficial for U2 to play here for a number of various reasons. We have a brand new state of the art arena (MTS Centre) located in the heart of our city that would sell out within minutes. We showed U2 a ton of support during their stop here on June 12,1997 for Popmart. We are located in the prairies close to many Saskatchewan U2 fans that would drive the seven hours to come to the show. Traveling across country to Vancouver or Toronto can cost upwards of $1000, sadly the average U2 fan cannot afford this. We hope you will take this into serious consideration.
