Give us MORE HENRY AND MORE FOR HENRY!!!
January of last year, the writers allowed us to see another side of Henry - a serious, sweet, and romantic side. Trent Dawson finally got the chance to shine and show how well he could portray not only comic relief, but a deep, multi-layered character. He showed that his character was not only funny, but had depth, feelings, and was truly a leading man. Unfortunately, that summer, the writers began to take him out of that category, and back to where his character started when he was off-contract. Henry was sadly only second choice with the love of his life, and was also used as a prop, yet again, once she went back with her so-called #1. Currently, Henry's character has been reduced again to being strictly comic relief and filler. Where's a story where Henry is the central character? Where's a story where he actually gets the girl of his dreams (Katie) - for good? He certainly deserves her more - so why do other guys win out? The powers that be keep casting/recasting others for leading men, instead of acknowledging Trent's amazing talents and utilizing them to their fullest potential. With Henry, As the World Turns has a chance to develop an iconic character with the potential of Luke on General Hospital. Trent has more than proved that he's leading man material - he even earned an Emmy nomination - so why aren't TPTB giving him the story line? We want more for Trent and more for his character!
