Social Learning Space and Your Students Union |
To: University of Portsmouth Students
The University of Portsmouth with assistance from the elected sabbatical officers asked 2000 students:
Would you like more social learning space at Portsmouth University? YES/NO
To which I think we could mostly agree that we would say YES. This is the answer people gave. 80\% thought that this was a good idea. What the University and sabbatical officers failed to mention and therefore misled the students of Portsmouth University about, was that this space would come at the cost of an area in the Students Union used as both nightclubs AND areas for societies/clubs to use during the week.
We are therefore asking you to sign this petition if you feel that the above consultation was misleading and that you would therefore like this issue to be reconsidered and further research be undertaken into the use of the Lux and Co2 venues.
For legitimacy sake, we require HEMIS numbers to prevent this being deemed an inappropriate survey.Sincerely,
