Economic Stimulus

I petition the government of the United States to come up government backed low interest mortgage program for qualified buyers/investors. This is a simple concept that will stimulate the economy by stimulated the real estate market. It will also help eliminate the current inventory of property and help prevent future foreclosures by stabilizing and then increasing property values.

What we need is mortgages with an initial rate of 2-3% that adjust in 2-5 years to a competitive fixed rate. There could be a large down payment requirement to reduce the risk to the lender and/or government.

This program will have little or no cost to the government!
