UT Dallas Arts Recognition

To:  UT Dallas Administration

With the current lack of upper-level language course offerings, inadequate facilities for musical development, and a general sense of neglect towards the arts at the University of Texas at Dallas we, the students, feel that these are urgent problems that need to be addressed in a timely manner.

As signers of this petition we, the students of the University of Texas at Dallas, advocate a stronger administrative emphasis on arts and humanities programs. These programs include, but are not limited to, performing arts, music, visual arts, and foreign language. This would enrich the academic and cultural experience this university offers for all students, ultimately providing the resources necessary for a well-rounded education.
