STOP THE CUTS at Vancouver Community College

We are dismayed at the inadequate funding for post secondary education in British Columbia. We believe that the recent cuts in the provincial government operating grants for the post secondary system will have serious implications.

VCC is facing reductions in many programs and in some cases cancellation of good and needed programs. British Columbia is currently experiencing a skills shortage and we need to educate and train people for future jobs. We believe cuts at VCC are short-sighted.

We call on the provincial government to adequately fund our colleges and universities, including Vancouver Community College and its unique program mix.
