Valley Christian School rules

We as the student body would like to change a few things in the rules/laws of our school. We would like to have a less strict dress code, and have a chance at chewing gum.
We would like to simplify the dress code. We want to be able to wear anything we want as long as it is modest; jeans, hats, shirts, and things in that sort. We would like to change the code to being modest clothing. But we do not want to totally remove the code, for example on chapel days the dress code is in power but on the rest of the week we can were jeans, and things we want as long as they are modest.
The second problem we have is chewing gum in class, or in school. We would like to have the opportunity to chew gum, and we agree that the people that put gum on tables and other things should be punished. So we would like to try allowing gum for a week or so, and then see the results. If people start putting gum on tables and other things then start having no gum again.
