General George Washington's Victory Trail is a national treasure which must be revered and preserved. A pivotal intersection on that Trail is Jacobs Creek, where Washington's troops, faced with steep icy banks and raging waters, used ingenuity and determination to get both their men and heavy artillery across. This site has been virtually untouched since Washington's Army made the crossing in 1776, but it is currently being threatened by a County road realignment and bridge construction project that would forever desecrate this national, historical landmark. We, the undersigned, support the efforts of the Save the Victory Trail and Jacobs Creek Bridge Coalition.
