World Cup 2018 England

If Australia can start preparations (reported in the Sunday Observer, 18th September 2005) to make a bid for FIFA World Cup in 2018 then so can England.

We, the undersigned request that The Football Association confirm that they will be making a formal bid for the FIFA World Cup to be held in 2018 as and when the opportunity is available to do so.

In winning the 2012 Olympics the country has demonstrated that it has the people, infrastructure and resources. Now is the time to capitalise on this and launch a bid for the biggest sporting event in the World.

Sepp Blatter, head of FIFA said recently that he would welcome a bid from England commenting "I would say yes, they should bid - it is the homeland of football".

Sign this petition, join Sepp Blatter and help send a message to The Football Association that the people of England want this tournament.

It's about time it came home.
