There are many Western Canadians who live permanently or part-time in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico. Although La Paz is the capital city of BCS, with a population of approximately 300,000 people and a beautiful international airport, WestJet does not currently fly into LAP.

Those of us who live in La Paz must drive 3 hours on a very dangerous highway to the airport in San Jose del Cabo (SJD) in order to fly home directly to Canada. The only real option from LAP is Horizon Air, and involves many stops, many plane-changes and an overnight stay in the U.S. What should be a direct 3-1/2 hour flight becomes an exhausting and expensive 2 day ordeal.

The undersigned respectfully request that WestJet add La Paz, BCS (LAP) to their regular flight schedule, either with a direct non-stop option to Western Canada (Calgary, Vancouver, etc), or as an added stop on their existing flights to and from Cabo San Lucas (SJD).
