This petition serves as an open letter to the Steinbrenner family, Brian Cashman and the once proud New York Yankees organization.

The time has come to trade Alex Rodriguez. The reveal and admission of his steroid use is the final straw.

Despite his tremendous regular season numbers, Alex does not reflect the commitment to teamwork and winning prevalent in the Yankee dynasty of 1996 - 2001. He does deserve the chance to one day be enshrined in monument park alongside Ruth, Gehrig... Munson or Mattingly...

The time has come to restore sanity and normalcy to the Yankee clubhouse, to provide a team the fans of the Yankees.

The time has come to trade Alex Rodriguez.
