MU vs WVU Series

To:  The State of West Virginia

We, the undersigned, do hereby petition the state of West Virginia to thoroughly investigate the issue of requiring an annual in-state football series between Marshall University and West Virginia University.

We petition that these two institutions be required to play a “home and home series” annually for the benefit of the state, the fans and for the schools.

As taxpayers we feel that we are owed this series after the excitement that was generated in the 1997 game at Morgantown. The taxpayers of this state demand a series as we feel it will bring an economic boost and positive national attention to our beloved state.

We respectfully petition the great State of West Virginia to make public the results of such investigation.
