Nintendo fans in Singapore have to agree that is Maxsoft has proven to be incompetent to represent themselves here as a reliable Nintendo distributor. Nintendos next generation console, Wii was launched earlier this month in the US. Like fans anywhere else in the world, Nintendo fans in Singapore cant wait to get their hands on this new system. Yes, Singapore may be small but we do have a strong demand for gaming products. Our neighboring countries are already receiving news of their very own local launch. Fans here have also been pinning for a local launch date for Wii. Even if its a month's or 2-3 months wait, all we ask for are some signs; be it in print or even on the distributors website (if they even have one). Little things like that might even help to show that our local distributor is getting their ass on it. Or better still, start a preorder to keep people happy. But nope, they chose to remain hush about the whole thing and simply do it their way (that is the silent way) just because they monopolize distribution here for anything Nintendo.
Similar case was seen earlier on when DS lite (Nintendos latest handheld gaming console) began their local sale here in Singapore. Gamers here have to buy DS lite bundled with some lousy, low playability games; which was obvious that they were trying to clear their warehouse stock, simply by dumping them onto us consumers. And they even have the cheek to provide buyers, a meager 3 month warranty on the device (compared to Sony PSPs whopping 18 months warranty when registered online). Gamers here had to stomach such lousy marketing strategy and it sure left us a bad aftertaste.
We know it's not gonna force them to do anything. But, nothing wrong with a good rant now and then, right? We have been the cool, patient, mature little boys and girls when it comes to everything else. But this is one time we can't sit back and relax. The excitement has gotten to us Nintendo fans. Nintendo has made us act like immature again. We want Wii for Christmas or even New Years Day!
Why is it that we are having this somewhat anal retentive experience again? In fact, we can see that Maxsoft is trying their best to kill fans interests in Nintendos product!
Listen up Maxsoft, we want Wii and we want to know when we are getting it in Singapore!!! We wouldve appreciated any slightest details that you are holding on to with regards to this.
Please support this petition if you agree to our frustration with Maxsoft. You can't disagree that they need a swift kick up their backside. We thank your contribution!
